God didn't want us eating from the Tree of Knowledge. Why? What could be wrong with the Tree of Knowledge? We can put all the values we want on blind faith, but the interesting thing to note here is that God wants little followers, but Satan seems to want equals.
God loves you unconditionally, but will only act upon it if you respond to it. Even if you don't even know that he exists. Satan on the other hand will accept you into his realm regardless of whether or not you're a Satanist. Satan's love is truly unconditional because Hell is full of all kinds. He's got Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Pagans, Satanists, Atheists, Taoists, Scientologists, a couple Catholics and every single legitimate rock and porn star known to mankind.
Satan only has one rule.
1. No Christians allowed.
But if you're a Christian and you want to come hang out, he'll probably let you in. Besides, since when did Satan obey rules?
But there's also the golden rule.

Give God some credit. At least he has standards. I mean, really, I choose not to hang out with legitimate porn and rock stars, and I think my reasons are pretty good. Maybe God has reasons, too.
At the very least, I'll bet you can get lots of studying done in heaven, whereas in hell you'd be constantly interrupted by loud music from the wild parties. And really, who DOESN'T want to study, party-free, for all eternity?
I see what you mean about the love. But I disagree. (Go figure, right?)
I think God loves us, and Satan will take us. But put the relationship in natural terms:
A dad gives their 6 year old son a big red bouncy ball, but tells them not to play in the street with it. Love compels the father to tell his child how to stay safe. (That's the God part of the analogy ;] )
A neighbor comes up to the child and sees him bouncing the ball in the yard with his 5 year old sister. He tells the girl it's much more fun to play in the street and she convinces her brother that it is.
When the dad comes out and sees them in the road when he told them not to, it's reasonable for him to bring them back and make them go inside and have chores (whatever 5 and 6 year olds can handle) instead of being able to be in the nice open air having fun.
So doesn't it show God's love that He gave us instructions to stay safe, and reprimanded us for breaking His rules, but like most dads, gave us a chance to be redeemed?
Satan doesn't love us. He wants to be greater than God, and knows it hurts Him when we suffer. Since he can't directly overpower God, he acts like a middle school bully and goes after those that are weaker and will listen to him. That's not love, that's cunning and selfishness.
Yes, hell is filled with all types of people. God has His "chosen" or "elect". But He judges according to works. (Romans 2) talks about the differences in having the law, and obeying the law. The Jews were chosen, but Paul commends gentiles for being more righteous. This makes me believe that God will look at a person as a whole - inside and out - and judge accordingly
(1 Corinthians 4:5 and Hebrews 4:12)
All this to say: Yes, Satan will take you, but to fulfill his own ends; whereas God will truly love you unconditionally.
